Clubhouse International Joins US Mental Health
Leadership Summit
| |
Clubhouse International COO, Jack Yatsko, participated in a Mental Health Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. USA that brought together over 30 leaders from various mental health organizations.
Seth Kahan, Founder and CEO of Visionary Leadership and Stop Stigma Together organized the event which included a Fireside Chat with Bill Hoagland, VP, Bipartisan Policy Center discussing today’s current mental health landscape and advocacy strategies.
Strategy sessions addressed issues related to the evolving policy environment, including potential threats to Medicaid and funding for mental health services that could impact millions of Americans. Roundtable discussions were held to strategize and share ideas about how to elevate understanding and acceptance of mental health conditions and new/adapted ways to increase mental health resources.
Jack shared, “This was an important gathering of leaders from mental health organizations with varying missions, united by a shared commitment to providing essential support for the most vulnerable Americans—support now at risk due to ongoing budget cuts. There is strength in numbers and the action steps and committees formed at this Summit will hopefully lead to collective national advocacy to protect needed services for vulnerable populations.”
Stay tuned for further developments!

| | Accreditation Leads to Stronger Outcomes Around the World | | |
Interest and growth in our quality assurance process of Accreditation continues increase as we have had 30 Accreditations through April of 2025 and are on course to have 90-100 accreditation processes this year.
Why does this matter?
Because members of accredited Clubhouses continue to have stronger positive outcomes in their lives in areas of housing, employment, education and other quality of life factors. For example, 40% of the average daily attendance of members connected to an accredited Clubhouse are employed in jobs in their communities.
Accreditation does indeed help Clubhouses strive to be the best that they can be!

Clubhouse Reflections on the Impact of Accreditation
Clubhouses are also responding favorably to the individualized consultative support provide by our Faculty in addition to evaluating their compliance with the International Standards for Clubhouse Programs™.
"Jamel and Rob were very friendly and extremely informative. They were especially helpful in talking about employment expansion and development of an independent advisory board separate from our Auspice Agency.
It was nice that we had the perspective of Jamel from a large Clubhouse but then also the perspective of Rob who was from a Clubhouse closer to our size." ~ Accreditation feedback from Charterhouse, VA, USA

Faculty team Tracey and Damon recently returned from an accreditation at Clubhouse Atlanta, GA, USA.
"As Clubhouse International Faculty you visit many Clubhouses, but you never forget visits like this one.
I was told before our arrival that Clubhouse Atlanta was "small, but mighty" and I agree wholeheartedly with that description. The Members, Staff and Board Members were inviting, passionate and dedicated to creating an environment where their community can thrive.
I was inspired by their story and even more inspired by their hard work to become an accredited Clubhouse. I cannot wait to see their successes in the future." ~Tracey, CI Faculty and staff at Bayside Clubhouse, MI, USA
