Small But Mighty: Pop Warner's Youngest Bring Light To Heartbroken Community 
On October 19, 2022, the city of Bristol, CT faced a devastating loss when two police officers were tragically killed, and one wounded, by intentional and senseless gunfire. Sgt. Dustin Demonte, 35, and deputy Alex Hamzy, 34, were the two fallen heroes, Alec Iurato, was the officer who survived. While professional and collegiate teams across the country showed their support, some of Pop Warner's youngest athletes also stepped into action. In an effort to bring healing to their neighboring community, the Wolcott Youth Football & Cheerleading Association's U6 Flag team decided to dedicate their last game of the 2022 season to the fallen heroes, donating the money collected in their "Touchdown Jar" to the officers' families.
