Dear CHT Members,

Welcome to @home our brand new monthly e-newsletter! This will provide an easy way for us to keep you up to date with everything that we are working on here at CHT. This is the first time we've ever done something like this, so If you have thoughts or ideas we'd love to hear from you. Send me an email.

It's been a really challenging last year for so many of our neighbors, but as the vaccine rollout continues, there is reason to be excited as we get close to summer. In the coming year new resources at the federal, state and local level are going to allow us to make a big impact. We would like to thank the Governor and our legislators for stepping up with a record $190 million dollar investment in affordable housing. These funds will help us tackle the unprecedented housing affordability crisis facing our community. We also want to make all of our residents aware of financial assistance that is available to both renters and homeowners who are struggling to keep up with payments due to Covid-19.

We're feeling more hopeful as we look forward in 2021, and we're excited to create more housing for our neighbors.

Financial Assistance is Available
With so many Vermonters struggling due to the economic impact of the
Covid-19 pandemic, CHT wants you to be aware of State programs that can help. We encourage residents to apply if they qualify.

Laurentide Community Leaders
Resident volunteers Sal Millichamp and Regina O'Flaherty are using food and art to build community at Laurentide Apartments helping neighbors overcome the challenges presented by Covid-19.

Spring Cleaning at South Meadow
Residents at South Meadow in Burlington worked together to clean out their apartments, pass along reusable items to ReSOURCE, and safely dispose of other items this weekend. The spring cleaning was also our way to celebrate the annual NeighborWorks Week as groups across the country organized events to highlight positive impact of NeighborWorks America network.

It was also a chance for residents to get outside, gather safely, and enjoy the warm sunny weather!
