TOMORROW, Tuesday, September 1, work will take place along the Champlain Parkway east of Home Avenue

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1, at 7 AM, crews will begin installing the breakaway systems on the streetlights along the Champlain Parkway between Home Avenue and the Route 7 overpass and along the ramps. This work will take place throughout the week during the daytime hours unless otherwise noted. This work will require shoulder closures with possible traffic shifts along the Champlain Parkway and associated ramps while this work is taking place.

Construction Update

DURATION:

In the coming weeks, limited construction activities will continue to take place Monday through Friday between 7 AM and 7 PM unless otherwise noted. Crews will be offsite starting at noon on Friday, September 4, in observance of Labor Day and will return on Tuesday, September 8 at 7 AM. All work is dependent on weather, temperature, and subcontractor availability and is subject to change.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES & TRAFFIC IMPACTS:

In the coming weeks, crews will continue working on miscellaneous punch list items throughout the project area along I-189, Route 7, the Champlain Parkway, Battery Street, Pine Street, and select side streets, including Maple Street and Main Street. Traffic impacts will be minimal, as most work will occur outside the roadway or under shoulder and parking lane closures. Activities include the installation of the remaining post-mounted signs throughout the project area, as well as other minor project-related work. This work will take place intermittently over the coming weeks.

Please note that supplemental updates will be distributed to notify stakeholders of any remaining activities expected to result in significant traffic impacts. A final project update will be provided upon completion of all remaining work.
