Construction Update

DURATION:

Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17, daytime construction activities will take place between 7 AM and 7 PM. There is the potential for limited overnight construction activities between 7 PM and 6 AM, Monday night through Friday morning.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES & TRAFFIC IMPACTS:

All work in the coming weeks is dependent on weather, temperature, and subcontractor availability and subject to change.

Pine Street between Kilburn Street and Main Street: During the daytime hours, crews will be performing punch list items, including spot repairs on sidewalk panels, patch paving near roadway structures, and general clean up. There is the potential for the line striping and pavement markings subcontractor to install some isolated pavement markings along Pine Street. This work could take place during daytime or nighttime hours. Work along Pine Street is expected to take place within short mobile work zones. Two-way traffic will be maintained and controlled by flaggers.

Intersections of Battery Street at Maple Street and King Street: The line striping and pavement markings subcontractor is anticipated to install Do Not Block the intersection markings in the intersections of Battery Street and Maple Street and Battery Street and King Street. This work is anticipated to take place under lane closures controlled by flaggers likely at night. Traffic will be maintained in all directions. This work is dependent on weather.

Locust Street just east of Pine Street: The line striping and pavement markings subcontractor is anticipated to install Do Not Block the driveway markings on Locust Street at the first driveway just east of Pine Street. This work is anticipated to take place next week under lane closures controlled by flaggers. Traffic will be maintained in all directions. This work is dependent on weather.

Route 7 South On-Ramps to I-189 East and to Queen City Park Road: During the daytime hours, Barret’s Tree Service will be on-site clearing underbrush in the vicinity of these on-ramps. This work will take place off the roadway, but may require a lane width reduction.

Throughout the Project Limits: Crews will install the remaining post-mounted signs throughout the project limits along I-189, Route 7, the Champlain Parkway, Battery Street, Pine Street, and some intersecting side streets, including Maple Street and Main Street. This work will take place primarily outside of the roadway under shoulder and parking lane closures.
