CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES, DURATION, AND TRAFFIC IMPACTS:
Crews will be on-site Monday, August 15, through Friday, August 19, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. All work will be completed off the roadway within the project Right of Way.
Throughout the week, crews will continue stormwater work between Lakeside Avenue and Sears Lane. Crews will continue excavating and shaping the sand filter just west of the Champlain College Miller Building on Lakeside Avenue. Crews completed excavating and will begin installing the underdrain along the west side of 40 Sears Lane between Sears Lane and the parking area.
Crews have excavated the area from the stormwater detention pond working south towards Flynn Avenue and will begin installing the associated stormwater infrastructure. Next week, cranes will be mobilized onsite to assist in the placement and installation of stormwater structures. Ground improvements will continue throughout the area creating noticeable vibrations.
Crews will begin excavating the roadway alignment for the Champlain Parkway east of Briggs Street within the City’s Right of Way starting at Flynn Avenue and working towards the south. No roadway alignment work will be completed at the intersecting side streets (Ferguson Avenue, Lyman Avenue, and Morse Place) next week.
