Starting Monday, May 4, after 9 AM, the traffic signals at the intersections of Maple Street at Pine Street and King Street at Pine Street will become fully operational. Motorists be advised, the intersections will no longer be 4-way stop controlled. Traffic will now be controlled by the new traffic signal.

DURATION:

Construction activities on Pine Street will be restricted to the daytime hours of 7 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Friday. Construction activities on the I-189 Westbound Off-ramp onto Route 7 will be completed overnight between the hours of 7 PM and 6 AM, Sunday night through Wednesday morning.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES & TRAFFIC IMPACTS:

Pine Street at Main Street: Crews will adjust structures within the roadway to grade. This work will require the intersection to temporarily be controlled by flaggers intermittently throughout the week.

Intersections of Pine Street at Maple Street and King Street: Crews will switch over the new traffic signals from flash to fully operational on Monday, May 4, at 9 AM. This work will take place outside of the roadway.

Pine Street between Main Street and Kilburn Street: Crews will adjust roadway structures to grade, perform landscaping activities and continue installing post-mounted roadway signage. There is the potential for L&D to continue installing pavement markings if weather prevents them from completing work on today, Friday, May 1. This work will require short mobile work zones along Pine Street with lane closures. Two-way traffic will be maintained via traffic shifts or one-way alternating traffic controlled by flaggers.

I-189 Westbound Off-Ramp to Route 7: Crews will work to install the foundation for the overhead sign over the I-189 Westbound Off-Ramp onto Route 7. This work will take place at night between the hours of 7 PM and 6 AM starting Sunday, May 3, at 7 PM and continue through mid-week. This work will require intermittent shoulder and lane closures. Traffic will be maintained.

Champlain Parkway – I-189 to Home Avenue: Crews will continue working along the Champlain Parkway between I-189 and Home Avenue completing guardrail, concrete median work, and installing curb and post-mounted signs. This work will be completed within the closed segment of the Champlain Parkway with no impact to traffic.

The segment of the Champlain Parkway between I-189 and Home Avenue is not completed and is not open for public access. Active construction continues along this segment, which includes the movement and transport of construction vehicles, equipment, and materials.
