SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: 

Following the federal judge’s ruling Friday, June 17, to lift the temporary restraining order, construction activities on the Champlain Parkway Project will begin on Tuesday, June 21. 

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES, DURATION, AND TRAFFIC IMPACTS:

Tuesday, June 21, through Friday, June 24, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., crews will be on-site and will begin clearing the project Right of Way of trees and stumps between Lakeside and Home Avenue. Crews will begin clearing activities in the area of Lakeside Avenue and Sears Lane and continue south toward Home Avenue. These construction activities will take place off the roadway within the project Right of Way.

PROJECT LOCATION:

The Champlain Parkway Project spans a 2.8-mile area from the I-189 intersection with US 7 to Lakeside Avenue, and includes upgrades to Lakeside Avenue, and improvements to the section of Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Main Street. 

The initial contract includes the construction of the Champlain Parkway from Home Avenue to Lakeside Avenue, upgrades to Lakeside Avenue, and improvements to the section of Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Kilburn Street. 

PROJECTED COMPLETION: Initial Contract 2024

                                                     Final Contract 2027
