PROJECT REMINDER:

TODAY, Friday, February 10^th, is the last day the contractor (SDK) will be performing construction activities for the winter. Construction activities will resume in the spring. Please note, SDK will maintain an onsite presence throughout the winter shutdown. Crews may be seen performing field inventory work outside of the roadway

Please note, independent utility companies will continue to be onsite throughout the winter shutdown relocating existing utilities. There is the potential for utility service disruptions as part of this work. Impacted businesses and residents will be notified in advance by the independent utility companies.

Supplemental construction updates and traffic alerts will be distributed as needed throughout the winter shutdown period. 

INDEPENDENT UTILITY UPDATE:

Next week, Burlington Electric Department (BED) will be onsite completing utility relocations and service cutovers on Morse Place. This work will take place off of the roadway. No service interruptions are anticipated as part of this work. 

PROJECT LOCATION:

The Champlain Parkway Project spans a 2.8-mile area from the I-189 intersection with US 7 to Lakeside Avenue, and includes upgrades to Lakeside Avenue, and improvements to the section of Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Main Street. 

The initial contract includes the construction of the Champlain Parkway from Home Avenue to Lakeside Avenue, upgrades to Lakeside Avenue, and improvements to the section of Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Kilburn Street.

Initial Contract 2024

Final Contract 2027
