SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Crews will be offsite starting today, Friday, July 1, until Tuesday, July 5, at 7:00 a.m. in observance of Independence Day (Fourth of July).

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES, DURATION, AND TRAFFIC IMPACTS:

Early next week, crews will work to complete the remaining clearing and grubbing activities within the project Right of Way between Flynn Avenue and Home Avenue. Starting Tuesday, July 5, through Friday, July 8, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., crews will be on-site constructing a temporary access path to the site and staging area for construction vehicles and equipment. The temporary access path will be located within the wooded area between Sears Lane and Flynn Avenue. These construction activities will take place off the roadway within the project Right of Way. 

PROJECT LOCATION:

The Champlain Parkway Project spans a 2.8-mile area from the I-189 intersection with US 7 to Lakeside Avenue, and includes upgrades to Lakeside Avenue, and improvements to the section of Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Main Street. 

The initial contract includes the construction of the Champlain Parkway from Home Avenue to Lakeside Avenue, upgrades to Lakeside Avenue, and improvements to the section of Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Kilburn Street. 

PROJECTED COMPLETION: Initial Contract 2024

                                                    Final Contract 2027
