Nighttime Closure and Detour of Lakeside Avenue between Pine Street and the Cumberland Farms Driveway in Burlington, VT

TONIGHT, Wednesday, September 13, at 7:00 p.m., Lakeside Avenue will be closed to facilitate night work between its intersection with Pine Street and the Cumberland Farms driveway. This portion of the road will be reopened by 6:00 a.m. Thursday, September 14.



During the closure, traffic will be detoured along Pine Street and Sears Lane. Flaggers will be present to assist motorists around the work zone. Motorists traveling along Pine Street can expect lane closures with alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers at the intersection with Lakeside Avenue. Please see the detour graphic below.

ABOUT THE CHAMPLAIN PARKWAY PROJECT

PROJECT LOCATION:

The Champlain Parkway Project spans a 2.8-mile area from the I-189 intersection with US 7 to Lakeside Avenue, and includes upgrades to Lakeside Avenue, and improvements to the section of Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Main Street. 

The initial contract includes the construction of the Champlain Parkway from Home Avenue to Lakeside Avenue, upgrades to Lakeside Avenue, and improvements to the section of Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Kilburn Street.

Final Contract 2027
