Nightwork and Lane Closures at the Intersection of Pine Street and Lakeside Avenue in Burlington, VT

Starting TODAY, Tuesday, October 17, at 3:00 a.m., and continuing into Wednesday, October 18, crews will be paving portions of Pine Street and Lakeside Avenue at the intersection. Paving operations are weather-dependent.

This work will require single-lane closures with alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers. Bi-directional traffic will be maintained along Pine Street overnight.

Starting at 7 a.m., traffic along Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Kilburn Street will be restricted to northbound only. All southbound vehicles along Pine Street will be detoured from Pine Street to Kilburn Street to St. Paul Street and will continue along Shelburne Street to Flynn Avenue and back to Pine Street. This traffic pattern will be in place Monday, October 16 through Friday, October 20, from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. For more information, including a detour graphic, click here.

ABOUT THE CHAMPLAIN PARKWAY PROJECT

PROJECT LOCATION:

The Champlain Parkway Project spans a 2.8-mile area from the I-189 intersection with US 7 to Lakeside Avenue, and includes upgrades to Lakeside Avenue, and improvements to the section of Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Main Street. 

The initial contract includes the construction of the Champlain Parkway from Home Avenue to Lakeside Avenue, upgrades to Lakeside Avenue, and improvements to the section of Pine Street between Lakeside Avenue and Kilburn Street.
