Champlain Parkway is Accepting Comments on the Limited Scope Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement through August 24
The Burlington Department of Public Works would like to remind everyone that the comment period for the Champlain Parkway Project Limited Scope Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (LS DSEIS) is closing on Monday, August 24, 2020. The comment period has been open since July 10, 2020.

The Champlain Parkway Project Team held a public hearing on July 29 to present the LS DSEIS and record verbal comments. The public hearing recording and the public hearing presentation are available for viewing on the project website, www.champlainparkway.com.

Following the public comment period, the team will develop a Limited Scope Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (LS FSEIS). This document will include written responses to all comments received during the comment period. The LS FSEIS will be submitted to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for review.

Based on the current project schedule, it is anticipated that the LS FSEIS will be issued in October 2020. When the LS FSEIS is released, it will be available on the project website.

FHWA could either request changes to the project based on the Limited Scope of this Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) or issue a Record of Decision (ROD). Based on the current project schedule, a ROD could be issued by the end of 2020.
