Summer Camp Highlights

WOW, what a summer!

That's a wrap for Camp Chanco 2025! From soaring through the trees on the ropes course to sunset worship on the Bluff, our campers experienced unforgettable moments filled with adventure, friendship, laughter, and faith. Days were spent cheering each other on in team challenges, splashing in the pool, and exploring in the outdoors, while nights were filled with campfire stories under the stars and sharing quiet moments of reflection in God’s beautiful creation. And the backdrop of everything we did was God's love, expressed through our theme: "You are loved...pass it on!" This camp season was one of the best ones yet, and we are thrilled that we got to experience it with YOU!

Relive the Magic

We’ve captured so many of these special moments—check out our Summer 2025 Photo Albums and follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see highlights, camper smiles, and behind-the-scenes fun that was had over our summer camp sessions.

Chango for Chanco

All together, your campers donated a total of $1,316.67 towards our Change for Chanco project—WOW, what an accomplishment! These funds will be used to create shaded hangout areas with new picnic tables and umbrellas near the canteen and game zone, giving campers a fresh new spot to cool off at, socialize, and reenergize for the next round of fun. Thank you for all of your time and efforts spent supporting your camper's donations. And the best part? They'll get to enjoy the benefits of it when they return to camp next summer!

Want to make a difference? It's not too late to give!

A Huge Shoutout to Our Summer Staff

We want to take a moment to thank our incredible staff for their hard work and dedication to make this summer an experience our campers will never forget. They lead with integrity, instructed with passion, and kept our campers safe and happy—we owe it all to them! Thank you for being the wonderful role models our campers need. We hope you all have a successful and joyful year ahead of you, and we can't wait to see you back next summer.

Are you or someone you know interested in joining our summer staff? We are already recruiting for the 2026 summer season—learn more and apply today!

2026 Camp Registration

This summer was such a blast—we already cannot wait for the next season! 2026 camp registration opens in September, so be on the lookout for a special email coming soon containing camp dates, rates, and registration links. And don't forget, for every camper you refer who registers for a camp session, your camper receives $100 Chanco Bucks to use toward their own registration or at the Canteen.

Most importantly, we thank you for sharing your child with us and for choosing Chanco on the James. It is families like you that make Chanco the number one summer camp in Virginia year after year, as named by Virginia Living Magazine.

It's not goodbye—it's see you next summer, Chanco Campers!

2025 Camp Chanco Survey

Parents, we want your feedback!

Camp may be over for the season, but we’re already dreaming up ways to make next year even more magical at Chanco on the James, and we need your help!

Camp parents, you should have received a "2025 Camp Chanco" survey email specific to your camper's session. If you haven’t had a chance yet, please take a few minutes to fill out our 2025 Camp Chanco Survey. We’d love to hear what your camper loved, what made you smile, and where you think we can grow. Your insights help us continue to make Chanco the best it can be.

2026 Camp Registration

For those of you who didn't register on the closing day of your 2025 camp session, our registration is due to open in September. Keep your eyes open for a registration link in the September Chatter Newsletter.

💥 Bonus: Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a raffle to win a FREE camp session for next summer! The survey will close September 30, and the winner will be drawn during Winter Camp (January 16–18, 2026 for ages 7–12). The winner will be contacted directly as well as announced in our Chanco Chatter e-newsletter.

Thank you for being part of the Chanco family—we can’t wait to hear from you!
