Chandler has a workforce that employers can depend on according to leading personal finance outlet WalletHub. Their analysts compared the 116 largest cities in the United States across 11 key metrics, including employment rate and average workweek hours. Chandler ranked 20th overall and 1st in Arizona.

Our community has a remarkably low unemployment rate of only 3.1% (vs. 4.4% nationally), which is a testament to both the hard-working nature of our residents and the quality job opportunities in Chandler. Business magazine Fast Company has named Waymo the world's most innovative company "for steering robotaxis into the fast lane." Chandler's relationship with Waymo dates back to 2016 when our community was recruited as one of the initial test sites to pilot their innovative technology. Since that time, Waymo vehicles have been a familiar sight on our streets and Chandler has been a part of multiple firsts for the company. In 2017, Waymo launched its Early Rider Program in Chandler as a first step toward commercial deployment. Riders in Chandler were also the first to experience Waymo One's fully autonomous ride-hailing service with no human operator in the vehicle when the service launched in October 2020.

Home improvement brand and television show "This Old House" recently ranked Chandler the 8th best city to raise a family in the United States. Their research team compared 149 of the largest cities in the country across 13 metrics, including school district ratings, crime rates, the share of parks and libraries, child care options, and the variety of activities for kids. Chandler compared favorably in several categories and excelled in school district rating with a score of 9 out of 10.

Chandler Endeavor is a free business incubator program sponsored by the city and managed by community entrepreneurship leaders from ASU's J. Orin Edson Entrepreneurship + Innovation Institute. As part of its programming, Chandler Endeavor hosts monthly forums that focus on different topics critical to business success. The next forum will be held on Wednesday, April 2, and the topic is building a solid financial model to guide decisions, forecast growth, and attract investors.

You will learn about:

• How to use historical data
• Choosing your revenue build (transaction, subscription, etc.)
• Forecasting costs (fixed and variable)
• Creating a projected profit and loss statement
• Modeling different scenarios
• Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)
