Aero-Zone Moves Forward with Expansion Plans in Chandler Airpark Area

Aero-Zone is a leading provider of new and aftermarket parts for commercial, corporate and general-aviation aircraft. The company maintains an inventory of thousands of the most in-demand parts, in stock and ready to ship worldwide. Since its founding in 1994, Aero-Zone has steadily grown its industry relationships and capabilities, now serving customers from its corporate headquarters in Chandler, regional offices in Missouri and California, and European headquarters in Ireland.

Located on about four acres adjacent to Chandler Municipal Airport, Aero-Zone's 34,000 square-foot Headquarters and Inventory Control Center was designed to meet both the current needs of the company, and to allow for years of future expansion.  Planning is currently underway to build an approximately 44,000 square-foot expansion on the site. Aero-Zone has submitted a building permit application with plans to start construction within the next couple of months.

"Aero-Zone was founded in Chandler, and we are very excited as we continue to grow our presence in the community we call home," said Aero-Zone Founder and President Alfredo Dreyfus. "In the coming months, we will break ground on a new 45,000 square-foot facility - in addition to our current world headquarters - a further sign of our commitment to Chandler."

"We are excited that Aero-Zone will expand its presence in Chandler ," said Mayor Jay Tibshraeny. "Aero-Zone has long been an anchor in the Airpark Area and we look forward to their continued success and growth both domestically and overseas."

City Issues RFQ for Potential Sale of 53 Acres of Surplus Land Near Kyrene Rd and Loop 202

The City of Chandler has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to development firms interested in purchasing and developing approximately 53 acres of City-owned property west of the northwest corner of Kyrene Road and the Loop 202 Santan Freeway. The property was originally acquired in 1998 for potential construction of a wastewater treatment plant, however the City recently determined that it could be considered surplus and available for commercial development. The City's expectation is that the site will be developed with a mix of office and light industrial/flex uses.

The RFQ was issued on April 3rd and a pre-submittal conference was held on April 19th. Submittals are due by 4 p.m. on May 5th. It is anticipated that a short list of respondents will be invited to continue to a second phase where they will submit a proposal with more detailed information. Click here for the bid solicitation, which provides additional information on the property, the City's vision and expectations, selection process and timelines.
