Walgreens to Open Pharmacy Operations Support Center on the Price Road Corridor

Walgreens has announced plans to open a new pharmacy operations support center on the Price Road Corridor just south of Germann Road. The company has leased a 60,000-square-foot facility to house close to 500 employees. Positions will include pharmacists, call center agents and pharmacy technicians. The support center is anticipated to open this fall.

"This investment by Walgreens contributes to a growing technology and health cluster here in Chandler, adding to an already dynamic local economy. We look forward to developing a strong relationship with Walgreens as they ramp up operations in the city," said Mayor Jay Tibshraeny.

The Price Road Corridor continues to be a desirable location for major corporate users.  At 8%, office vacancy within the Price Road Corridor is almost half the Phoenix metro average of 15%. Walgreens joins several other nationally-recognized companies that have announced new locations or expansions in the area o ver the past year, including Intel, Rogers Corporation, Orbital ATK and Republic Services.
