La Table 2018 is a tremendous success!
Thanks to table hosts, participants, our presenting sponsor, Callie Waller, and  our event chair, Wanda Culpepper for all of their hard work and support to make La Table 2018 the most successful yet! Claas Ehlers, Family Promise national CEO, and Collisa Langford, a former guest, reenergized volunteers, inspired donors, generated new ideas, and brought vision for our future.

We had over 315 folks join us at La Table and we raised over $30,000. This support will go toward caring for  children and
families who are experiencing homelessness and help them build a foundation so they will never be homeless again.

Something to think about....
Krista Tippett
Brene Brown
Krista Tippett, who is the host of On Being, a show that airs on Sunday Mornings at 7 am on WUGA, recently interviewed Brene Brown.

They talked about true belonging...."at the very heart of belonging is spirituality - not religion, not dogma, but spirituality, and a very important, specific tenet of spirituality, which I believe cuts across faith and denomination and belief system. And by "spirituality" I mean the deeply held belief that we're inextricably connected to each other by something greater than us. And that thing that is greater than us is rooted in love and compassion - that there's something bigger than us and that we are connected to each other in a way that cannot be severed."

I believe that the work we are doing is building the connections between each other....between guest and volunteer, between people of different faiths, between people of different races...I also believe that the stronger our connections, the better we are.

Thank you again from the bottom of our heart for working alongside us to make a difference.
