My Dear People,
Today, March 25th, in the United States of America, New Jersey has the highest average number of Covid cases in the country, and Sussex County has the highest average in New Jersey. As other states continue to decline, we are experiencing a dramatic spike in numbers (click on link below). With guidance from our Diocese, we have changed our Holy Week and Easter Schedule as follows:
-Palm Sunday- Video Only. No public procession from the Square will take place. Please feel free to stop by and pick up a palm on the patio by the playground from 7:30am on.
-Maundy Thursday- Posted by Thursday afternoon on our YouTube channel.
-Good Friday-Our intention is to live stream the liturgy on our YouTube channel at 9:00am and to post a recording after the service.
-The Easter Vigil Dinner and Celebration- canceled
-Easter Day: Outdoor services at 8:00am and 10:00am on the patio of Christ Church. The services will be brief, festive and rain or shine. We will have a few chairs set up for those who find standing for 30 minutes difficult, so you might want to bring a lawn chair and an umbrella (if necessary)
Masks and Social Distancing are expected.
Given the significant risk of gathering in a crowd at this time, please consider carefully how exposure might impact your health.
I know how disappointing this news is for many of you. I share your frustration, but I can also see that the end is near! Keep the faith! Encourage one another! Get vaccinated! Praise the Lord at all times and in all places!
See you soon.
