First and foremost, everyone at The Cloudstone Foundation hopes you and your family are healthy and safe.
This note is to tell you that we, like most organizations, are taking steps to help reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. To that effect we are doing the following:
Our International Sculpture Day opening on April 25 and 26 is canceled.
We will not conduct any private tours until further notice.
All volunteer activitiesare canceled, although we encourage you to sign up to help us when the park reopens.
We are still planning our Labor Day opening on September 5th and 6th and hope to have a public opening earlier in the summer. We will notify you as these plans materialize.
Some of you have expressed concern that this will severely impact The Cloudstone Foundation's mission--one you are so keen to help us achieve. Of course, it will affect us, but not severely. In planning meetings we had last fall, long before the first case of COVID-19, we put plans in motion that are strengthening the Foundation. These plans serendipitously help us at this time. Here are some of the actions we are taking to will help us continue with our mission:
Securing rare footage of interviews with Hank Nelson that we are processing for dissemination later this summer to our members.
