These devices will be erased, sanitized, and donated to a variety of senior support foundations for the purpose of assisting senior citizens in staying in touch with their loved ones during these remarkable times of isolation. Changes to PPE Sourcing
As of July 1, businesses and non-AHS organizations will be required to access PPE directly through suppliers. Groups that have already received or submitted a request for PPE from the Provincial Operations Centre or Alberta Health Services can continue accessing supplies, subject to availability and for a fee, from May 25 until June 30. Requests received and being fulfilled may be subject to fees. You can find a list of local PPE suppliers here .
10/20/30 Residential Lot Incentive Program
The program is designed to encourage residential construction of single detached houses and duplexes in greenfield subdivisions in Medicine Hat. Licensed builders that register for the program will receive a $10,000 rebate once construction has been completed to the weeping tile stage. This offer is limited to the first 30 lots registered by licensed builders that purchase a Residential Lot between June 1 and December 31 in any greenfield subdivision (private or public) and register for the program with Invest Medicine Hat.   Read more.
Regional Relief and Recovery Fund
The Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF) is a program to aid businesses that are not eligible for current COVID-19 funding. The Community Futures RRRF has a maximum of $40,000, is interest and payment free to Dec 31, 2022, and has a forgivable amount up to $10,000. To qualify, businesses need to have applied for and been declined under the federal CEBA program. An application portal is now open
Canadian Chamber Small Business Grant Now Open
Applications are now open for the Canadian Chamber's Canadian Business Resilience Network Small Business Relief Fund . These grants are possible through the generosity of Salesforce and will be offered as a one-time payment of $10,000 to 62 businesses across the country. Applications will be accepted from June 1 to June 12, 2020. 
City Releases Draft Municipal Development Plan 
The City of Medicine Hat has created a comprehensive update to its guiding vision, the Municipal Development Plan. This project, myMH Master Plan, is a 30-year citywide plan putting in place strong and visionary policies to help create a more prosperous, livable and sustainable city. Please visit the project   website for a digital version of the draft Plan, project information, informational videos, and an online survey , which closes on June 25, 2020.
