2021 MACTE Symposium
We will be conducting our 2021 MACTE Symposium entirely as a virtual event.

The Delta variant is one of the main driving factors. MACTE has had participants reaching out and sharing concerns over travel with the current surge taking place, travel restrictions from employers, and more. While we were looking forward to an in-person gathering, we are still excited to host outstanding keynote speakers and table talks.

There are many moving parts as we work to reorganize the schedule. We will post the updated schedule and new registration fee on the MACTE Symposium website by September 10th. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to plan our virtual MACTE Symposium. We look forward to gathering with you online in December! We will continue with our awards for Wisdom of the Elders and Denny Shapiro Innovation in Montessori Teacher Education Award virtually this year. Please send in your nominations.

MACTE has always prioritized keeping everyone safe, so while we were really looking forward to gathering in-person and hosting in Charlottesville, we feel this is the best decision we could make with the information available at this time.

Those who have already registered will receive a full refund. You will be contacted via email with details. If you have already reserved your room, please contact the OMNI to cancel your reservation with no penalty. We are grateful to the OMNI for their flexibility and support of our decision.
