plus c'est la même chose.

Those French, they have a word for everything...and an expression for everything, too. In this case, the more things change, the more they stay the same. And in the context of Featherstone, you can take that to mean that despite changes to outward appearances, everything goes on as before. So please don't be alarmed by the fancy new face we have put on our newsletter. You can rest assured that Dave and I haven't sold out to "The Man"... but we have finally succumbed to the IT revolution. Our website also has a new face- one that is more friendly to mobile devices. Ch..ch..changes...

This past winter was a welcome change from the previous two winters when our vines were Under Pressure from winter damage. These mild temperatures have Dave and I tempted to start Dancing in the Street.

Rebel Rebel

Let's face it, our retail hours are outside of the norm and perhaps we are a bit of a Space Oddity in that regard. However much we enjoy closing up shop in the off-season (Jan-March), we are always happy when spring rolls around and the tasting room re-opens. In April and May, we will be open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11 am-5:30 pm starting on Friday April 1, 2016 (no foolin'). But please note that the winery will be closed on Sat April 16 & Sun April 17 for a private function.

Fame

This year marks the 10th Annual F'ing Winery Tour. Yes, all the f'ing wineries - Flat Rock, Fielding and Featherstone - will again hold our famous food & wine pairing event. Details are on our (new, fancy) website. Click here for details on the F'ing Winery Tour.

Heroes
If you can't make it out to the winery, the LCBO/Vintages is releasing five of our wines this spring. This is unprecedented and means that in March you'll have easy, although brief, access to our brand new 2014 Cuv é e Joy Sparkling Rosé.

In April, look for our 2015 Black Sheep Riesling, 2015 Rosé, 2015 Four Feathers and 2013 Merlot. These vintages are Golden Years...for details and to find our wines in a store nearby, visit: www.vintages.com and type in "Featherstone" in the search box.

Diamond Dogs

The Muddy Paws Wine Festival presents a unique opportunity to celebrate excellent wine and food along with your best four-legged friends. On July 9 & 10, 2016, Vineland Estates Winery and Featherstone Winery will open our doors to well-behaved dogs on leash who wish to accompany their owners. New and favourite wines will be available by the glass, chefs will be serving delicious fare all afternoon. There will be a canine theme to the weekend, with live music and special events at both wineries. A wooded trail connects us and it's a relaxing 15 min walk between wineries. A portion of sales go to support National Service Dogs.
