Cookies for KAIROS, please!

Roger Weeden and Lee Davis will be going in to Lawrenceville Correctional Center for a four-day KAIROS weekend March 26-29. The team was shorthanded so we added this to our already busy schedule. We need 100 dozen cookies each PLEASE. Zip lock bags with recipes and packing instructions are available in the narthex - five dozen cookies per package. Please take all you and your family think you will bake. Return the cookies to the narthex on Sunday March 22. Thank you very much for this extra help. The big weekend is in late April. We will have six men going to Sussex II so we'll need six hundred dozen. Details to follow when we get back from LVCC. Your support and your prayers gives hope to men who thought they were forgotten. Thank you.

Parish Day School: Snow, a dentist and a mystery reader!

As we are wrapping up our study of Winter in the classrooms, it was very exciting for some of us to get to see snow on our playground. We continued our exploration with some imaginary snow in the classrooms and activities involving snowflakes throughout our day. It is “snow” much fun to be a preschooler!

Parish Day School had a special guest last week for National Children’s Dental Health Month with Dr. McCarty from Larchmont Dental. Our children heard a story from Dr. McCarty and got to practice brushing teeth. These lessons continued in the classrooms with painting with tooth brushes and exploring what to eat to help with proper dental health. Each child went home with a goodie bag of items for encouraging keeping their mouths and teeth healthy.

We wanted to say a special thank you to Vestry member Steve Shirley for coming to be a mystery reader at Parish Day School this month. Each month a member of the Vestry is visiting our school and having the opportunity to connect with the children. Thank you for coming to visit and getting to see all we do in Early Childhood Education and this ministry.
