“Chapel People”
I recently met a couple who attended worship at the Chapel for the first time. However, they had already been watching and listening online for quite some time. Even though it was their first in-person visit, they were already familiar with us.
That makes me smile. Big time!
The Chapel’s online and streaming services are a ministry. The Lord’s Warehouse is a ministry. The Paradise Center is a ministry. Our music program, outreach efforts, Bible studies, and seasonal devotions are all ministries. Christmas in the Garden is a ministry. Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon are ministries. Every group that gathers on our campus, every wedding, and every memorial service is also part of that ministry.
In my opinion, everyone who connects with the Chapel in any way is a part of our family. Whether you attend in person, watch online, read the Chapeline, follow along on social media, or participate in a study or event, you are part of this community.
You are Chapel People.
Don’t worry. I am not about to send you a membership form. You are welcome to engage with the Chapel in whatever way works best for you. In fact, this is why we are always exploring new ways to expand our reach. We want more people to experience God in a joyful and encouraging way.
If membership is important to you, we offer two options. A Full Member can vote, serve, and lead within the life of the church. An Associate Member enjoys the same opportunities but also maintains membership at another church. This allows many of our seasonal residents to stay connected both here and at home.
I share this today because many of our winter residents are preparing to head north. At the same time, we are meeting new people who are just beginning to explore where they might connect. If that is you, I hope this helps you understand the Chapel a little better. If you are a year-round resident, you already know that the Chapel is a great place to be in the summer. There is always something happening, and there are always ways to serve.
So wherever you are, stay connected. If you are in the area, come see us. If you are away, join us online. Most of all, stay safe and healthy. We love you, and God loves you even more.
Blessings, Brock
