The Chapeline

July 30, 2024

From Rev. Brock Patterson

“It’s a Party”

This Sunday (August 4th, 2024) will include some fun and celebration as we throw a “Going Away Party” for Maurice and Beth Overholt. Maurice has served as the Chapel’s Music Director since 2021, providing us with inspiration and beautiful music during our worship and many special services.

We are blessed by Maurice’s service and it’s been truly special to have the Overholt family with us each week. Among these blessings has been the installation of a Chapel Choir and exceptionally talented vocalists. One of these, Alyssa Adamson, has become a welcomed fixture at the Chapel and she will be taking over as the Chapel’s Worship Leader upon Maurice’s departure. Alyssa will be directing our choir, selecting music for worship, and leading us during our Sunday worship.

Another blessing Maurice has brought us is a group of very talented musicians. Among these is Cynthia Nash-Frye, who joined the Chapel earlier this year and will be assuming the position of the Chapel’s Music Coordinator. Cynthia will be directing and coordinating all of our musicians and working with Alyssa to lead us with inspirational music and worship.

Of course, in addition to these blessings Maurice has brought to the Chapel, we also have an incredible and growing group of musicians, including both volunteers within the Chapel as well as outside professionals. So, though we will miss Maurice’s voice and talent, he will be leaving us in very capable and qualified hands and voices.

Please join us this Sunday following worship for a special “Going Away Party” for the Overholt family. Consider bringing a card for them as the family prepares for their next step in God’s service. Or, if you are not in the area and would like to send something to their family, you are welcome to send a card in Maurice’s name to the Chapel and we’ll make sure he gets it. Maurice has served in churches for over twenty-five years and we want to thank him properly for all that he’s done in the LORD’s service.

See you this week! It’s gonna be a party so don’t miss out!

God Bless, Brock.

"Water into Wine and Cheese" party!

Thank you for stopping in after Worship last Sunday to enjoy the wine and cheese party.

We embraced the spiritual significance of Jesus turning water into wine as a symbol of transformation and abundance.

Andrea Wittig, a regular Lord's Warehouse shopper, came by

the Lord's Warehouse last Wednesday. Manatee County has a program providing swimming lessons to all 2nd graders in the county.

Andrea is an instructor, and they never have enough vests. Wednesday managers, Valarie Evanko and Lesley Rife, talked with her and made sure she went away with vests at a very good price.

This was another way for the Lord's Warehouse to serve the community. Managers and volunteers alike were happy about this opportunity to serve!
