Replanting Sunday’s Altar Arrangement.
Did you know that you can honor a special someone or occasion by purchasing a green altar arrangement for Sunday worship? A few weeks ago, we received a Connection Card (Sunday morning registration card) from a Chapel attendee who suggested we consider using
salt-tolerant plants and flowers for our Sunday morning altar arrangements.
By choosing saltwater-tolerant plants for our Chapel’s altar arrangement, we could replant the arrangement in the Chapel Gardens, helping to repopulate and beautify our Gardens. The arrangements, purchased through the Chapel Office, also become a lasting memory of persons or occasions honored, which is also cool.
Now, if you’re quick on your feet, you might be asking why it took us so long to figure this out. I don’t have a good answer other than the obvious confirmation of our belief that it takes everyone to make things work. The Chapel, like any church, is comprised of lots of folks who come together as one family to complete the Lord’s work and have lots of fun, too. The staff and I hadn’t considered replanting the Sunday arrangements. One of you, did! Woohoo!
Would you like to donate a Sunday altar arrangement in honor of a special person, occasion, or purpose? It’s easy and affordable, costing about $100 for the typically sized arrangement ($200 for extra large). If you don’t want to sponsor a green plant, no worries! Cut and arranged flowers will always be available. Just make a quick phone call to the Chapel office, and we’ll talk you through it. Or, if you’d prefer, just use the sign-up sheets in Shook Fellowship Hall, and we’ll contact you to prepare the arrangements.
Thanks for taking the time to read this week’s Chapeline! Also, don’t forget to join us this Sunday for a special Memorial Day worship service! We’ll meet at 10 am (EST) in the Chapel Sanctuary, but you can also join us online if you’re away from the Key!
God Bless,
Brock
