Board of Directors
Board Update
It is an honor to serve as the Chair of the Arizona FCCLA Board of Directors for the 2020-2021 school year. The Board has been meeting this Summer, focusing on the newly formed committees: Finance, Membership & Recognition, and Conferences & Events. Using the goals of each committee, the Executive Committee has formed a three-year strategic plan. As a Board, our goal is to provide resources to help you recruit, retain and recognize your local chapter and its members. This year will present new situations that will require flexibility and adaptivity. Please know, we are here to answer questions and provide guidance. Feel free to reach out to your Board representatives or myself, if we can be of any assistance. I wish you the best of everything and remember, "just because something is different, it doesn't make it bad, it's just different."
Sincerely,

Catherine Robinson Awarded Educated Adviser Award at 2020 Virtual National Leadership Conference
Congratulations to Catherine Robinson from Flagstaff FCCLA for being one of only two recipients of the 2020 Educated Adviser Award at the 2020 Virtual National Leadership Conference!
"It was a great pleasure and honor to receive this award. I will aspire to use my professional development in a way that will enrich my students. My extreme passion for FCCLA is a result of its influence on me while I was in high school. It helped me get to where I am today. My only hope is that someday I can be as good of an adviser to my students as the very special Mrs. Jean Weisling was for me."
FCCLA recognizes the accomplishments of a current chapter adviser of FCCLA who has gone above and beyond in their professional development activities and participation throughout the year. Click

Chapter Networks
Continuing the initiative of the 2019-2020 State Executive Council, the 2020-2021 State Executive Council is excited to communicate and engage with chapter officers through the use of Chapter Networks. Chapter officers will be assigned by the state office to one of four Chapter Networks based on their position. Chapter officers will then be added to a GroupMe to connect with other officers around the state in an effort to share ideas and initiatives while growing their personal networks within the organization. The Chapter Networks will be monitored and facilitated by the State Executive Council and State Staff. In addition, chapter officers will receive the Chapter Officer Update, a monthly newsletter developed by the State Executive Council to keep them up-to-date on the happenings of the organization while sharing ideas to engage and run chapters. For this initiative to be successful, it is imperative that advisers provide the personal phone numbers and email addresses for their officers.
