FEI Portland Members and Partners,

Spring is in the air, vaccinations are available to all and we are all chomping at the bit to return to pre-pandemic pursuits, safely. Happily, our FEI Chapter is right there with us, and the enthusiasm shown by our Members and Partners to start planning for in-person, outdoor events is palpable! Nothing against Zoom, but the idea of being back together for live activities with our community is exciting.

We are thrilled to have our annual Golf Tournament and Dinner scheduled for July 27 at Langdon Farms. The event is not only for golfers, as Members are also invited to come for Dinner and Cocktails only. Based on early response, this is likely to be a very popular event, so click here to book your space early.

We are also kicking off the first of what should be a series of mini meet-ups in different parts of our area on June 16 at Tigard Taphouse. To learn more and register, click here. Additional meet-ups are being scheduled for Vancouver and Downtown Portland in the following weeks. Be on the lookout for announcements.

As to our Programs, what a great event we had last week, Bring Back Portland, Better. We had over 60 attendees to hear a panel featuring Sam Adams, Director of Strategic Innovations for the City of Portland, Monique Claiborne, President & CEO of Greater Portland Inc. and Skip Newberry, President & CEO of Technology Association of Oregon, all moderated by Suzanne Stevens, Editor of the PBJ. If you were unable to attend, you can watch a recording of it here. If you care about our City and region, watch the webinar and get involved. Many thanks to our Partners for doing a tremendous job helping put this together.

We are also starting to plan for more traditional, in-person events/speakers/networking starting this Fall. More details to come as we get a better sense for what will be allowed and what we are all comfortable doing.

The bottom line is that we look forward to the opportunity to get back together with you.

Sincerely,

Doug Adler
FEI Portland President
