Chapters make it happen!
woodbridge scuba in bonaire
Howdy Pirates,
in the coming weeks I will be showing you training photos as our 2022 recipients prepare for their upcoming adventure. (more details on that trip coming soon)
We cannot thank our chapters enough for working with us, our recipients, and their communities offering adaptive diving and so much more.

Just because a chapter doesn't have a recipient doesn't mean they are not still fundraising and offering great specials, etc. Case in point: Woodbridge Scuba in Virginia was recently awarded as official ambassadors of Bonaire as they take 2 - 3 trips a year to that Caribbean island. They are a great resource for area divers and offer great trips. Just a reminder to check in with your chapter, see what's up, and see what you can do to make 2022 happen! Congrats Woodbridge!

Las Vegas Round two...
bone handle knife with eagle image
I told you last week about Las Vegas Chapter WaterWorld Scuba holding a raffle through May to support its recipient team Jason and Christina Kelley. The first is a Counter Strike Extreme Shooting Package at Battlefield Vegas.
$5 each
The second item is  a very nice wall mounted bone handle knife with an American eagle.
$1 each
Email Lee Craver for your raffle ticket with raffle ticket in your subject line.

We also have a scholarship recipient busy at WaterWorld taking some refreshers... more on that on a later blog. Thank you WaterWorld Scuba for opening your heart to adaptive diving and all of the pirates that live in your midst.
In the spotlight
Melissa Nueva recipients 2022

Former TSgt. Melissa Nueva, USAF
Melissa was so excited to start her adventure when COVID hit, so she has been patiently waiting and fundraising to fulfill her adventure she started in 2019. Following a very successful career in the Air Force, she is now learning to live differently with rheumatoid arthritis and other auto immune diseases. She's done a great job sharing her fundraising page but needs your help getting to the finish line. Learn more about Melissa and share her fundraising page so she too can move from pirate in training to Dive Pirate!

Thank you to the great folks at DiVentures in Omaha for training Melissa and her adaptive dive buddy Heidi Johnson!
Have a great weekend Pirates,
Theresa and The Crew
