" Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."
Elementary Students Practice Confident Communication
Katonah-Lewisboro's elementary schools offer older students additional opportunities to practice communication and decision-making skills.
MPES' Student Ambassadors helped younger students make Valentines for Vets. Student leaders at KES spoke to grades K-4 about diversity, and 5th graders at IMES volunteered as Homework Helpers.
New Leadership Program Pilots at John Jay Middle School
Each time middle school classes break into small groups, leadership skills are cultivated. Next steps are taken when students become club presidents, Student Council reps, and Homebase Leaders.

Now there is a new opportunity for students to lead by example and communicate with their peers—Above the Influence.
Peer Group Connects Students and Shapes Leaders
Student leaders at John Jay High School guide clubs and make policy decisions in Campus Congress. Captains of sports teams serve as the coaches' right hands.
Amid these opportunities, one leadership opportunity--Peer Group--stands out because of its 15-year tenure, focus on relationships, and mandatory freshmen participation.
