“Character In Crisis"

“If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; THEN will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

To me the “Crisis of Character” in this country is deeply disturbing! Why? Because character is the central issue in the battle we are presently facing and is a building block upon which America is facing. And NO political party can make America great again without addressing this issue! ONLY God can save America, because America’s problems are a direct result of America’s sin of departing from Gods ways and creating a “Crisis of Character.”

However, IF our National leaders and Church leadership will come under God, there is HOPE! When Americans repent of breaking God’s laws and tearing apart the family, this nation can and will be great again.

Unfortunately, history indicates that leaders and the people under them do not repent until they have suffered through national collapse, foreign invasion, brutal enslavement and widespread loss of one’s individual rights. Bondage has a way of driving people to seek God when they would not follow God under good times.

Although I cannot change a nation or the church, I can, by God’s grace, deal with my own character in and through Jesus Christ by returning to His code of ethics, the 10 Commandments. By so doing, I can hopefully influence the nation and the church and help save it from the dangerous course it is on.

However, in spite of my efforts, if the nation and the churches continue to deteriorate into worldliness, degradation of character, and behaving just like the world, there is hope in one direction. God promises to shelter those “Few” who are faithful to Him in a special place of protection, Isaiah 26:20. That promise is also found in Psalms 91 and although we are not promised total immunity from calamities, the Lord assures us that He will be present with those who “Abide in the SECRET PLACE of the MOST HIGH!” Psalm 91:1
