Thank you to everyone in second grade and under who participated in the SAY soccer program, and a special thank you to the coaches who volunteered their time. We had 3 teams at the Pre-SAY level (kindergarten and under) that had successful seasons. There were two Girls Passer teams (mix of 1st and 2nd graders) who competed very admirably in the playoff tournament. On the Boys Passer side, our three teams finished with records of 10-0, 9-1, and 6-4. All three teams were undefeated against the rest of the 22 team field in the tournament! The team led by Coach Jason Frye and John Borger won the championship and will be representing St. Charles at the State Tournament in Milford that will be played in November! In the semifinals, they beat the team coached by Zach Shelton and Joe Bavaro 2-1 in a very intense semifinal game. In the quarterfinals, they defeated our third team coached by Nick Kanoza, Jay Werts, and Jack Crotty in a spirited game. With all three boys soccer teams in action at 4:45pm on Saturday,

Charlie the Charger made an appearance too!

Illnesses

As we start a new school year, we expect to see an increase in illnesses as we bring groups together, and this year is no different. To help us reduce illnesses throughout the school year:

  • Please be familiar with the Daily Health Check and HEAL Documents
  • Monitor for illnesses and COVID-19 symptoms
  • Stay home when sick - see Daily Health Check and HEAL documents. If you are staying home, parents must notify the school office 937-434-4933 or [email protected]  by 9am. It would be helpful for school monitoring to report your child's symptoms.
  • Get vaccinated
  • Encourage good hand washing and cough hygiene (sneezes and coughs should be covered)
  • Encourage cleaning measures and proper ventilation
  • If you test positive for COVID -19, please use our reporting tool COVID Notification Form

If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse at 937-660-4266 or [email protected]
