Welcome New Charger Teachers!

As we being the year with many new faces here at St. Charles we will spotlight one a week!

Hi Chargers! My name is Emma Maschari and I am so excited to be teaching First Grade here at St. Charles! I am a recent graduate of the University of Dayton (Go Flyers!) I majored in PK-5 Education with an endorsement in Special Education and I cheered for the football and men's basketball teams during my time there! I am originally from Sandusky, Ohio and enjoy going back to spend time with my family! When I am not at school I enjoy going to UD football games, taking my dogs on walks, traveling to see friends and playing pickleball! Thank you all for welcoming me to the St. Charles family!

My name is Theresa Neumann. I am the new junior high religion teacher. I have been teaching off and on for 22 years. I started teaching in Detroit before moving down to Springboro. I have taught at St. Albert, Mary Help of Christians, and most recently Mother Teresa. I did a lot of subbing while caring for my 6 (now adult) children. I have 4 kids in college this year, and 1 granddaughter who is the light of our lives. My family and I love Disney and new adventures. One of our goals is to visit all 50 states. When I have

free time, I love to craft and bake. I am enjoying my time with the junior high kids and can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings.

NURSE NEWS

Vaccines for School

Per the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Department of Health, proof of required school vaccines (preschool through 8th grade) must be submitted to the school by the 15th day of each school year. This year, vaccines must be submitted by 9/11/2024.  The groups that are typically in need of vaccines for school are:

  • New students
  • Tk or kindergarten students (updated "5 year" or "kindergarten" vaccines)
  • 7th grade students (updated vaccines meningococcal and Tdap)

Most students have already received these vaccines, but the school must also have "proof' of those vaccines. If your child is missing proof of vaccines, the school nurse will reach out to you. Please make sure to respond as soon as possible. Proof of vaccine may be your child's vaccine record from the provider or the attached form (Section II) completed and signed by the provider.

Thank you for your help in this matter.
