CHARGER CHATTER

September 23, 2024

Please do not ride scooters, bikes or skateboards on the sidewalk on Ackerman.

Please walk them until you are past safety patrol.

In our first faith family activity our students made pinwheels. We used the pinwheels during our  International Day of Peace prayer service last Friday. At the end of the prayer service, students went to the front in the grass and "planted" our pinwheels to help spread "whirled" peace.

Thank you to Mrs. Neumann, our junior high religion teacher, for planning our first activity.

Thank you to 8th grader, Nathan Olmstead for being our

WHAT IS RANKED ABOUT? Debuting just weeks after the College Admissions Scandal took the nation by storm, RANKED tells the story of a dystopian world where competition reaches new heights as publicized academic excellence defines each student's worth. In the face of an intense and perverse culture of performance, Lily must come to grips with her place in the status quo as she watches friends and enemies alike destroy themselves and each other to score their way to the top of academic leaderboards. When an impossible lie is discovered, the fate of these students' futures hangs in the balance.

Vaccines for School

Per the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Department of Health, proof of required school vaccines (preschool through 8th grade) must be submitted to the school by the 15th day of each school year. This year, vaccines must be submitted by 9/11/2024.  The groups that are typically in need of vaccines for school are:

  • New students
  • Tk or kindergarten students (updated "5 year" or "kindergarten" vaccines)
  • 7th grade students (updated vaccines meningococcal and Tdap)

Most students have already received these vaccines, but the school must also have "proof' of those vaccines. If your child is missing proof of vaccines, the school nurse will reach out to you. Please make sure to respond as soon as possible. Proof of vaccine may be your child's vaccine record from the provider or the attached form (Section II) completed and signed by the provider.

Thank you for your help in this matter.
