Auction Spotlight: Host a Party!
|
Do you enjoy meeting your neighbors, making new friends, bringing people together in a festive atmosphere, and fostering strong relationships with members of your community? Then hosting a party could be just the thing for you!
Parties hosted by Cherry Crest families are some of the most popular auction
items put up for bid each year. These one-of-a-kind experiences take many forms, whether highlighting the food and customs of a specific culture like "
A Night in Africa
"
, adult parties with a whimsical theme like "
A Toga Party
" or even kid-friendly events such as a tea party or sports event. We welcome it all!
Are you intrigued but a bit hesitant? There's no need to go it alone! Consider grabbing a friend and co-hosting an event! Whether you are ready to raise your hand or just have more questions, please reach out to us!

Huge Turnout for First Day of Running Club
|
Wow!
316 students joined in the first day of Recess Running Club
on January 21st! Even winter rain doesn't hold back our Chargers. With just over half the school participating, students ran a collective total of 270 miles and 132 students have already completed their first mile!
Running Club is made possible by parent volunteers and we need your help to scan laps. Please sign up for slots in
January
and in
February
to keep our kids running.

Running Club Seeks Volunteer Leads
|
|
Due to overwhelming demand for the Recess Running Club, we need more parent volunteers to lead the program onsite! Commitment is two hours at the Cherry Crest Track at lunch recess one or two days a week.
Leads help with set-up, scanning running cards, packing away, and guiding volunteers as they flow in/out. Running Club is made possible by parent volunteers, so please join us so we can continue to offer it! No running or any experience is required. All are welcome!

Water Main Construction Closes Intersection Near School
|
We have been notified that there will be additional closures at the intersection of
126th Ave NE and NE 29th St,
with the next two scheduled for
February 3rd
and
February 4th.
Avoid traffic and flaggers by sending your kids on the
school bus
if possible! If you must drive, proceed slowly and safely in the neighborhood, watching for families walking to school, as well as flaggers and construction workers.
Drivers should continue to use the school's traffic plan: Take 130th Ave to 32nd St. to approach the school. When exiting, continue straight on 124th Ave. Watch for flaggers and detour markings!
