Spotlight on General School Assistants
Meet Mr. T!

Mr.T provides daily classroom support. He is known to make all the students feel involved and connected in the classrooms, especially now when everything’s virtual.

According to a parent in Ms. DePaola's 1st grade class:

Mr. T has been a lovely friend to our family. He always made our son and his friends feel a part of the school as new kindergarteners last year, and this year during group recess time by setting up a live MS Teams interactive drawing times including creating a super-cool race-car and space fight comic strip with Colias!
Did you know our biggest investment as a PTSA is funding more General School Assistants to help our teachers and students? Funding comes from parents and community members, through direct donations, corporate matching, and opportunities like Amazon Smile and "Give with Bing". Read more about GSAs on the PTSA website!

How Can Parents Best Support Remote Learners?
There have been many questions about what parents should or should not be doing regarding their child’s online learning!

The PTSA reached out to our Assistant Principal Mrs. Stedman, for some guidance! Read her responses here to our questions. You can find further information in the NEW Cherry Crest Online Learning Guidelines.
Traveling Outside Bellevue During Remote School? Please Read!
Washington State’s OSPI (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction) mandates strict rules on who can continue to access online classes when they are out of their school's attendance boundaries.
