Mission: The Cherry Crest PTSA is a resource to unify parents, teachers, students and the community to support our Cherry Crest staff. We provide outstanding educational enhancement opportunities for every child and work to build a strong community.
Passport Club at Cherry Crest
Would you like your children to learn the countries of the world? The Passport Club at Cherry Crest offers a multi-year introduction to world Geography.

If you would like your child to join the Passport Club, please send an email with your child's name, grade and teacher to [email protected] . Being a volunteer-run activity, we need parent volunteers to help with testing on Checkpoint Day for Passport Club to be a success. We recommend parents sign up here .

Passport Club's Checkpoint for October will be on Monday, October 28th in the lobby during lunch recess . We look forward to testing currently enrolled students at the checkpoint. 
Register for Spelling Bee
Calling all 1st through 5th Graders! The Scripps National Spelling Bee is coming to Cherry Crest!

To register, send an email to [email protected] and include the following:
  1. Name of your child
  2. Name of your child's teacher and grade
  3. Parent's email addresses and phone number
  4. Notification if parent is willing to volunteer

Registration deadline is October 30, 2019 ! Pre-assessment will be held on November 15. Volunteers are needed to run this event. Questions? Email [email protected] .
School Food Share Program
Cherry Crest launched the School Food Share Program with the help of parent volunteers, students, and school staff. This program is intended to recover edible food from school cafeterias to distribute to local food banks.

To make this a successful program, please help us with the following:

  • Remind and encourage students their food is for them and to only donate what they do not want or cannot eat
  • What can be donated? Any whole or packaged food from school meals (apples, bananas, unopened milk, yogurts, applesauce, string cheese, muffins, etc.)
  • What cannot be donated? Anything opened or with a bite out of it! Any food brought from home that was homemade or was hot at one time.

2019-2020 Washington State Reflections Arts Program
Reflections is ON now and is calling creative minds! Unleash your artistic talent and participate in Reflections 2019-2020!

Reflections is a nationally acclaimed student recognition program to encourage artistic creativity in the classroom and at home. Students of all grades and abilities may participate and explore the arts based on the 2019-2020 theme: " Look Within ".

Entries are due Monday, October 21. Students are encouraged to submit original work of art in one or more of the following categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts.

Principal Chat on October 18
At Cherry Crest we strongly believe in building a strong comm(UNITY). We invite you to join Principal Dusty Steere for the first Principal Chat of the school year on Friday, October 18 at 8:15-9:15 AM in the Music Room.

Mr. Steere will host an open forum and take questions from parents and discuss topics that are important to you. What topics and questions would be most interesting to you? Please share your ideas in this brief  survey .
Bellevue Schools Foundation News
Click for Kids - Click-a-thon
The Bellevue Schools Foundation’s Annual Click-a-thon event will be held Tuesday, October 22 and Wednesday, October 23 . All donations over $100 made on these two days will be matched 1:1. Our goal is to raise $300,000 from parents like YOU. Public funding is not enough to fund the exceptional programming that makes Bellevue Schools the best in the Nation. The Bridle Trails Park Foundation invites you to a Halloween Scavenger Hunt.

What : Let's spend a day where you get to explore your interests in science, technology, engineering, art and math! Yes, there will be fire! Yes, there will be games! Yes, there will be prices! We can't wait to have you! Drop off beginning at 7:30am! Pickup as late as 4:30pm! Please bring a lunch bag.
