Let's celebrate Cherry Crest’s 50th Anniversary with a Color Walkathon Party! Inspired by the Holi Festival, our theme is
A World of Colors
to highlight the fantastic diversity in our community.
After walking, we'll have a Fun Festival with carnival games led by 5th graders and live music by Grammy-nominated band

Hot Dogs, and
Jessica's Unique Bite
Burgers. This family event is open to all, so invite your friends, family and neighbors!
All Cherry Crest students will receive a Walkathon t-shirt to wear on Walkathon day featuring the winning design from one of our Cherry Crest students - winner to be announced soon! Our kids are excited to collect donations and walk lots of laps, with prizes going to classes raising the most money and reaching their goals.
100% of the proceeds from our Walkathon covers things like Teacher Aides in the classrooms and curriculum enhancement for all grades.

for the first PTSA General Membership meeting of the 2019-2020 school year.

You are the Parent in PTSA! Come and find out how to support our Comm(UNITY)! This is a great opportunity to learn more about what the Cherry Crest PTSA does and how we support our students, staff and families. We
will be approving the 2019 and 2020 PTSA budget and standing rules in this meeting.

New Cherry Crest PTSA Website Coming This Week!

We're excited to share that we've been working on a new Cherry Crest PTSA website. The volunteer team is migrating information from the old website and plans to go live
later this week
.
The new website will be a lot easier for a team of volunteers to maintain and will let us add new capabilities in future. Take a
sneak peek at the 'beta' version
.
Note: after the switch, some information may still link to the old website, but we'll continue working to redirect everything to the new site.

Grade Level Potluck Dinners in Cherry Crest Cafeteria
|
Join fellow classmates and families for a potluck dinner! Bring a salad, side dish or main course to serve 6-8 people. For home made items please provide an ingredient list to help those with food allergies. Cherry Crest PTSA will supply paper products, water and dessert.

The yearbook is a great gift for students at the end of the school year. We need parent help to collect great photos throughout the year Please

to take photos for classes and events. Requirements for photos and instructions for submitting will be sent to volunteers who sign up.

New to Cherry Crest? Get Approval Now to Volunteer!
|
All volunteers for field trips, in classrooms and at activities during school days (library, vision/hearing testing, Walkathon)
must have an up-to-date background check on file
.
The Bellevue School district uses Verified Volunteers to approve volunteers and requires renewal every three years (when it's time you renew, you'll receive a notification). If you are new to the district, please take a few minutes
to apply
and be ready to go on the next field trip!

Cherry Crest Wednesday Ski Bus - Lead Chaperone Needed
|
The "Wednesday Ski Bus" offered through Snow Sports Consulting Services (SSCS) is looking for a LEAD chaperone for the 2019-2020 season.
This person is the direct contact between Cherry Crest families and ski services. The season runs early-January to mid-February, with little prep-work in the fall. Please contact Erin Miller at

offers monthly opportunities for families to work together to spread kindness and community building.

Bridle Trails Park Foundation and National Public Lands Day
|
Bridle Trails Park Foundation is teaming up with the Lake Washington Saddle Club and State Park Ranger Matt Birklid for an autumn morning of park love on Saturday,
September 28th, 9am-noon.
Stewardship projects include removal of invasive plants and weeds, trail tidying and trimming, and horse arena maintenance.

Cub Scouts Pack Meeting Tonight

All boys and girls grades K-5 are invited to join the Cub Scouts! Go camping, learn first aid and launch a model rocket!
