Read-a-thon Logs and Donations due Friday, December 6th
Thank you for participating in the Cherry Crest Read-a-thon and pajama day. Read-a-thon donations are due by Friday December 6th to be eligible for prizes! 

Help us reach our school-wide goal of $30,000 to continue supporting important PTSA-sponsored programs like Curriculum Enhancement (field trips!!) and teacher aides (extra hands in the classroom!!).

Principa Steere will announce prize winners during lunch on Friday December 13th.

Staff Appreciation for December: Kindergarten Families
Each year Cherry Crest families show their appreciation for our outstanding teachers and staff by volunteering to provide food, beverages and paper products throughout the school year. Each Grade level is assigned one month to focus their efforts and many items can be delivered by your child.

Parents of Kindergarten students: This is your month! Sign up now to participate. Thank you in advance for your contributions. Together we strengthen our community!

Red Mitten Campaign
Join the school in supporting Cherry Crest and BSD families in need through a gift card Red Mitten campaign. Gift cards (Safeway, Target, Amazon, etc) may be dropped off in the front office. Cards will be distributed to families in need for the holiday season and beyond. You can drop off gift card donations in the Cherry Crest main office prior to December 20th. Thanks for making the holidays bright!

District Emergency Closure Resources
Heading into the winter season, be aware that the district will communicate any snow days, delayed start times, early closures or buses on re-route using the School Messenger notification system.

Information will also be made available on the district website , Facebook , Twitter, FlashAlert , on the BSD Newsline by calling (425) 456-4111, and from local TV and radio stations.

Education Connections Event: Screenagers - Next Chapter
Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience
The Bellevue Schools Foundation and the Sammamish High School PTSA invite you to join us December 13th at 6:30pm , for a special screening of the new documentary Screenagers: Next chapter.

Filmmaker and physician Dr. Delaney Ruston takes the conversation around screens and teens to the next level with Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience—a film that examines the science behind teen’s emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age.

The December 13th event will feature a screening of the 70-minute documentary.

Registration is open for Bellevue East Little League Winter Clinic and Spring Season. BLL offers Tee Ball, Baseball, and Softball for boys and girls between ages 4-16.
The Sammamish High School RoboticsTeam hosts free STEM nights for all ages at Crossroads Community Center on December 6 and 20 from 6:15-7:45pm
