Auction News
The auction team would like to thank everyone who came out (virtually!) to support Cherry Crest for the 2020 Auction in it's never-before-attempted online format. In total we raised over $65K with participation from over 160 members of our community! If you donated money or time to the auction, please read below for how you can make your dollars go even further!
Support Cherry Crest PTSA With Corporate Matching
Your donation can turn into 2x with little effort thanks to your employer's corporate gift matching program.

Microsoft, Google, T-Mobile, Salesforce, Facebook, Boeing and many other employers match dollars and sometimes even time their employees donate!

For instance, Microsoft will donate $100 to our PTSA if an employee reports a donation of $100 and/or donate $100 for every 4 hours the employee volunteered!

Thanks for Spreading Joy in our Comm(Unity)!
National Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week was a great success! With generous contributions of time and money from Charger families, the PTSA distributed over 600 personal notes and 80 videos to teachers and staff! PTSA was also able to give out 75 e-gift card prizes during our online game. Here are just a few comments from teachers:

"This is so awesome!! What a treat!" - Ms. Lawlor
"Thank you SO much for doing this!! Feel very acknowledged and appreciated this week." - Ms. Lux
" I REALLY feel like a winner now after hearing and reading those messages. This made my day." - Ms. Stevens
"Thank you. My heart is full!" - Ms. Hemker

Thank YOU, Charger families for participating!

Yearbook Distribution Plans
The yearbook team is hard at work on the 2019-2020 yearbook! We are working on the distribution plan and expect to have yearbooks labelled, sorted and available through the school office during the week of June 15th.

Note: pre-ordering through Lifetouch is now closed, but we'll offer an alternate order process through May 29 . We're still finalizing plans to take orders - please check the Chatter next week for details. There will be no additional copies available for purchase this school year (although a few may be available in the fall at a higher price).

Charger Weekly Challenge: Arts Week - Show Your Talents
We miss each of our students! We'd love to see your faces smiling and having fun in this non-academic challenge. Are you in a rut? Get creative! Here are just a few ideas for kids to shake things up:

  • Paint or watercolor a landscape from your window, or in your backyard
  • Re-create famous art pieces and snap a photo!
  • Collect things from the yard and make a collage
  • Create a dance, play an instrument, compose a song!

Participate in any way you see fit! Weekly themes are intended to inspire fun activities you can do on your own, with a family member, or virtually with peers. To show us how you participate each week, feel free to submit a photo or short video (under 30 seconds) from your BSD account to showcase what you’ve done.

Bellevue Schools Foundation
Bellevue Schools Foundation Asks for Your Help
The formal ask: Would you please donate?

The developments around COVID-19 have upended every student and every teacher at every school. Thankfully, BSF is uniquely positioned to support our District during this crisis. BSF raises money to fundamentally enhance and innovate in the district. Currently we are:

  • Providing funding for mental health counselors to reach students suffering from the effects of isolation and the challenges of distance learning
  • Funding on-line educational platforms so all students can continue their classroom work
  • Providing support for District staff providing care for children of first responders, healthcare workers and frontline Covid-19 fighters
  • Continuing to fund our exemplary programs to ensure our students maintain their academic excellence once they return to the classroom

Please donate today to support our students and families during this crisis. Any amount you give helps. In addition, long-time supporters have stepped up to offer a matching pool for donations of $1,000 and above. Your $1,000 contributions will be doubled thanks to their generosity. We are Still All in for Kids!
