Next Level Chargers Continues to Grow at Arete Prep
|
Arete Prep exceeds the national average, when it comes to student athletes moving on to compete at the NCAA level. The Class of '21 featured four "Next Level Chargers," and that number will grow this year as five, and potentially a sixth student athlete will move on to compete in college athletics. The national average of high school athletes going on to play college sports is just over 7%. With five athletes already committed for next year, Arete Prep will feature over 10% of our '22 senior classing moving on to the next level in athletics. Senior Matthew McClelland is Arete's third overall NCAA D1 Athlete, as he will play football at Morehead State (KY). He joins Crystal Akpede (Track and Field, U of A), and Amanda Zajdzinski (Swimming, Seton Hall) as D1 participants. Combined with a stellar classical education, and an excellent fine arts program, Arete Prep Athletics is proving to be an outstanding option for student athletes and families seeking a strong academic and athletic environment. Our coaching staff , in coordination with our outstanding college counseling program, is ready and willing to help our middle school and high school athletes who want to continue their academic and athletic careers beyond high school, find the right fit.
Stay tuned for "Next Level Charger" updates and features on our former Chargers competing at the next level. Next time you are on campus, stop in the foyer of the Marley Gymnasium and check out our growing display of alumni competing in college athletics.

Tax Credit Success- Thank You Arete Community!
|
We are overwhelmed with the generosity of our Arete Prep community and the success of our Tax Credit Drive.
Due to your commitment, we raised $87,857 in Tax Credit contributions as of April 18th, which brings us to 104% of our goal for this school year. With additional donations scheduled to process before the end of our fiscal year, we are so excited to see and feel our community come together to support athletics in such a meaningful and tangible way!
We are so grateful for your support of Charger Athletics. Our athletics program is a vital part of the life of our students, developing their skills, interests, and passions and providing them with the opportunity to be a part of a team. Many will walk away from Arete with fond memories of game day celebrations and completing hard workouts with friends because you chose to give your Tax Credit.
Thank you for your commitment to Arete.
We are truly stronger together! TOGETHER AS ONE.
With gratitude,
Athletic Director, Coach Conklin & Academy Giving Manager, Brittani Greve
