Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I hope that your summer has been filled with good rest and rejuvenation and great time with family and friends! Through travel and holidays, our Charging Forward in Faith and Education capital campaign has continued in steady fashion but we have a few updates to announce to you!
Over the past few months working with our General Contractor (Garbutt), our architects (Brian Felder and Associates), and our staff, the pricing for our projects is taking shape and has allowed us to come up with a new budget and goal for our campaign. Our new campaign goal is $15.5 million ($14 million for construction/facilities and $1.5 million for endowments). The initial goal needed to be increased because of greater security and other needs being added to the plans. This new goal and the projects have been approved by the Bishop so we are cleared to move forward!
With this new goal, let me update you on our fundraising. Thanks to you, your gifts and pledges, your support, and involvement we have raised $9.2 million (60% of the overall new goal) from 53 commitments! This is amazing! We have $6.3 million left and $1.8 million until we are 70% to our construction/facilities goal! We continue to visit with people and share the vision of St. James.
Please pray for the continued success of our campaign! May the Lord Jesus grant success to the work of our hands and bless all of our endeavors and plans!
Peace in Christ,
Fr. Daniel Firmin

Why are you supporting the
Charging Forward Campaign?

Brian & Sally Kennedy
Campaign Chairs
Sally and I support the campaign because of our loyalty to both Saint James Church and School and because it is necessary and vital to a flourishing future for both.
I would call us Saint James legacies as it’s been our parish for 33 years and all six of our children graduated from the school and now 3 grandchildren go there. In addition, Sally and her 7 siblings all graduated from the school.

The school needs additional classroom space and a secure central entrance that will ensure an optimal learning environment and enhanced security for all students and faculty. The church sanctuary beautification and improvements will continue to ensure a spiritually enriching and uplifting place of worship for generations to come.

God our Heavenly Father,
We thank You for Your abundant blessings bestowed upon us
and the good work you have begun in our community of St. James the Less.
Standing upon all You have done,
we rejoice in the future You lay before us.
May we charge forward in faith and education,
being formed as disciples of Jesus Christ, Your Son,
striving for excellence in all we do,
and growing in faith, hope, and love.
Through the intercession of St. James the Less, Your Apostle,
may we be generous in sharing all that we are and all that You have given us.
Help our dreams become realities, O Lord,
and let all we do and build glorify Your Name.
Amen.
