Future Forecast: Bright and Exciting!
It is a little unusual to have a newsletter that requests the reader's patience, but ALL the stories we have to share point to bright, exciting news on the near horizon. You'll learn of The Charles Bruce Foundation's upcoming book release for you to read, the opportunity to enhance what you give to them through an Ice Fest and March Madness campaigns, and a new web address for you to visit for information on their past, present, and future. First, the previously under-utilized domain name charlesbrucefoundation.org will finally serve its intended purpose. After convincing board member, Max Goller, to assist Max Donnelly with web design duties, finishing touches are being made to this important resource. We offer you a sneak peek of part of the site's home page below, and a button link below that directs you to the site now...but please be patient. Although the domain name is now up and running, this preview page and full website are still a few days from the official launch.

Preview Priscilla's Persistence
Didn't you just say Priscilla's Picnic with the President was the final installment of her moving saga? Four books, no more? Why yes, yes we did...until the story found another way to continue without violating the previous pact with the readers. To do this, Pat LaMarche and Bonnie Tweedy Shaw found a new audience to introduce to Priscilla...5 thru 7-year-olds - but read to them by a loving adult because the topic of homelessness, although it affects newborns up - is just too big for small children to read about alone. Even though this book is not yet available to the public, you can get a sneak preview of the story through a Facebook Live reading at the American Literacy Corporation on Saturday, January 29, 11:00 am. Even better, your sneak peek will be read by the author and very loving adult, Pat LaMarche. Be sure to return to the newsletter and click the link below to enjoy this reading. Oh, and keep a lookout for the announcement of the book's official publication date so that you can get a copy and share it with a 5 to 7-year-old loved one of your own.

Carlisle's own creative crown, Create-A-Palooza, is using the force for good. The public is invited to view ice creations and then to fire foam darts at Galactic heroes and villains! Better yet, the event supports two wonderful Carlisle causes, The Charles Bruce Foundation and the Carlisle Tool Library. If you are in the area on Saturday, February 5 from 12:00-3:00 pm, we encourage you to go over and join in the fun...but please keep your blasters on stun. There is no sense in giving into the dark side...even if they do offer cookies.

Although this news requires the most patience from you, dear reader, it is some of the most valuable news we have to share this month. The Charles Bruce Foundation has once again been selected by Partnership for Better Health to benefit from its annual Match Madness campaign. In the past, this event has offered the opportunity for you to see your donations to favorite organizations like The Charles Bruce Foundation doubled up to the first $1000 with additional funds proportionally awarded after that. Please be sure to follow the news on our new website and in next month's newsletter...and thank you for your continued support.
