Stillness
IN THE STILLNESS OF THE PRESENCE OF GOD I FIND MY OWN PERFECT STILLNESS.
IF YOU SEEM to lack a sense of quietness, turn to the presence of God. In Him find the stillness you want. Turn from the disturbance of the world about you to that inner presence of God which is at once the very presence of quietness and stillness.
Things of the world cannot disturb the presence of God within you, neither can they disturb the presence of the quietness within when it is centered in Him. If you would develop a sense of inner quietness, think often of the presence of God. Find in Him the quietness you seek. Keeping your thought upon Him, you will find that things and persons of the world no longer have power to keep you from being quiet.
There is at the very heart of your being a stillness that is unaffected by external things. It is the quietness of the presence of God. You have but to turn to this place and to abide within it in order to find perfect stillness. Great power will emanate from this inner sanctuary of quiet. You will find that through stillness will come power that is of God.
Enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself for a little moment. ISA. 26:20.
