HAPPY TUESDAY!

How about some charm jewelry this week?

It's timeless, classic and always sells. In fact, this week AND next  I will be featuring work from artists who make a lot of charm jewelry.

First up will be Beanzie of The Vintage Heart.

Beanzie is not alone in her love of charm jewelry, BUT!

She has an amazing, recognizable style.

One of the biggest things you want to work toward as an artist is a recognizable style.   Also, she  makes beautiful photographs with minor staging that just make you sigh.

Beanzie also has her own unique style of painting and sealing charms, ultimately positioning them on a bracelet so that all the tiny treasures can be admired, one by one.

Often she chooses a color palette or even a theme based on interests or whimsy....dogs, cats, horses, funky charms that look like candy, nursery rhymes, florals, cameos.   She loves to use vintage bits in her work.

Some of her components come from
from B'sue Boutiques

 Take a look!

Beanzie often shares photos of new creations  at the  B'sue Boutiques Creative Group    Many of her things are for sale in her Etsy or Ruby Lane shop, others, especially the effusive charm bracelets, go to auction at Etsy.   Look for The Vintage Heart.

Why not give charm bracelet making a try?   For the base bracelet, I suggest using our BOOKCHAIN....or, our bead and link style and rolo chains.   Find them here:

Here is a  link to a video that may give you ideas, too!

I've often said I wasn't sure who coined that phrase, "Kitchen Sink", but have often thought it was probably Beanzie.

In honor of the classic nature of charm jewelry as well as the September charm bracelet challenge at the Creative Group,   I've put our

It's been a bunch of fun working charm bracelets on the adjustable wire forms....

Here is one that Beanzie made recently...

And she mentioned that she sold them quickly.    I made several that sold nicely, too, and I know that Mocki, whom we featured last week, also has made and sold them.

They go together so quickly, but the trick is the MIX of things.

Try blending small charms or rhinestone drops with ones a bit larger...

Or dangling some 18x13mm mounts filled with pretty stones and cameos!  Try it, and show us what you come up with!

We would love to have your artistic company!

This is a CLASSIC Kitchen Sinker style necklace Beanz did awhile ago, all in  purples, pinks and pearls.

Why don't YOU begin gathering thinks that work on charm jewelry?  You could get some nice ziploks and start filling them with materials that either go together by color, or theme....and then:

You might even designate a little drawer for the bags of gathered materials.  That way  they will be at your fingertips, either to add to the bags or begin working on projects.

Put together things that would be good on a wire form, others that would be better on chain....some to make a necklace, some for maybe a purse pull or key chain... and of course:

Some for making charm bracelets!
