Happy Thursday!

Today I took some serious time out for me, to create charm holder jewelry.

Charm holder jewelry was really popular in the 70's and early 80's, but it's coming back!   I've been toying with it for the last few years, and have sold a number of nice pieces.   We actually carry some excellent charm holders!

Find the necessary components (a variety of styles and plating finishes of charm holders) in the Charm Accents section at B'sue Boutiques

Here is just one of the necklaces I made today:

Charm holder jewelry is very nice when you make it in theme, too....all cats, all button drops, all teacher charms, all Victoriana, horses.....make yourself a list.  Today I just picked through a bunch of things I'd put aside for awhile to play with, and I made some glitzy styles.

Wouldn't it be fun to get together with some friends and just have a night of making charm holder jewelry?  The holder I used was made for us from a vintage piece I had from the 80's.   I always loved it, the design is on both sides of the cast top.    We have them in the Charm Accents section in both vintage gold plate and antique silver.

And remember!  everything in the Charm Accents section is on sale for 15% off this week when you have 35.00 in your cart.  No code is necessary.

Here is another charm holder necklace I made today......

Again I just used bits laying about in my workshop.   So easy!   As for chain, I like a long one and generally go for about 30-32 inches in length.

Here is a nice video you can review about making charm holder, or charm enhancer jewelry....you might get some new ideas!

This is a pretty silver charm holder necklace I made a year or so ago, using the stamped charm holders from the Charm Accents section, and pretty silverware silver plated charms.

I used a simple figaro chain.   I like 'em long and I like lighter-weight chain.   This way they are so comfortable to wear and create no stress on anyones' neck, even though the holder might be loaded with many charms.  It's also fun to add small stones in mounts, or cameos, or pearls!

Lately we are focusing on charm jewelry and will have a big challenge at the Facebook group September16-18, 2016.
Come on over!

We would love to see your new projects!

Here is a pair of earrings that I made using the lighter weight charm holders.

I had some much fun making them and got a lot of positive comments when I shared them with the group.

Maybe you wouldn't want this style as earrings, though....

So use the inspiration here and make a colorful pendant.  There is JUST enough space for you to glue on some pretty leaves and flowers.

Then, dangle some co-ordinating beads from the bottom hoop.....add earwires......or make one and add chain....

And get ready for compliments!
