Charter Authorizing Panel Meeting 

October 15th & 16th

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Arkansas Charter Authorizing Panel met for its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on October 15th & 16th, 2024. The panel works to oversee the "authorization, renewal, revision, and revocation of charters."

The panel approved the Iota Leadership Academy application to establish two open-enrollment charter schools beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. The charter will follow a traditional educational model.

The panel denied the Unbound Academy application to establish an open-enrollment charter school beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. The charter planned to follow a virtual educational model.

The panel denied Newman Virtual Academy Arkansas application to establish an open-enrollment charter school beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. The charter planned to follow a virtual educational model.
