The Arkansas Charter Authorizing Panel met for the regularly scheduled monthly meeting on October 17th, 2023. The panel works to oversee the "authorization, renewal, revision, and revocation of charters."
In this month's meeting, the panel considered and acted upon the agenda items detailed below.

III.1 Consideration of the Cross County Elementary Technology Academy Amendment Request
- The panel approved the Cross County Elementary Technology Academy request for a waiver, as amended, of Rules Governing Class Size and Teaching Load Section 3; and Standard 1.A.5.
III.3. Consideration of the Garfield Scholars' Academy New Open Enrollment Charter School Application
- The panel approved the Garfield Scholars' Academy application to establish an open-enrollment charter school beginning in the 2024-2025 academic year. The charter will follow a traditional educational model. The applicant was asked to provide additional information.
