III. Action Agenda
III.1. School for Advanced Studies-Northwest Arkansas
The panel approved the School for Advanced Studies request to:
- Change the grade levels served from Grades 5-9 to Grades 5-10.
- Waive Curriculum: Fine Arts Standard 1-A.1.3.6.
- Waive Curriculum: Advanced Placement Course Ark. Code Ann. 6-16-1204(c)(d); Standard 1-A.1.3-10: DESE Rules Governing Grading and Course Credit-Section 6.
- Waive Curriculum: Foreign Language-Standard 1-A.1.3.5.
III.2. Arkansas Lighthouse Charter School Amendment Request
The panel approved the Arkansas Lighthouse Charter School request to waive Ark. Code Ann. 6-10-106(a)-Uniform dates for beginning and end of school year.
III.3. Cabot Panther Academy
The Cabot Panther Academy request to add a new campus to be located within the Cabot School District at 407 S. Polk Street, Cabot, Arkansas was withdrawn to be re-presented at the May Charter Authorizing Panel meeting.
III.4. Founders Classical Academy of Arkansas
The panel approved the Founders Classical Academies of Arkansas request to waive Ark. Ann Code 6-10-106(g)(3).
III.5. Premier High School of Arkansas and Premier High School of North Little Rock
The panel approved the Premier High School of Arkansas request to:
- Merge Premier High School of North Little Rock with Premier High Schools of Arkansas Charter. The North Little Rock campus will keep all the waivers currently held by the Premier High School of Arkansas Charter.
- Obtain a waiver for Ark. Code Ann. 6-17-2403(f)(2)(A)(i). The waiver currently exists in Premier High School of North Little Rock.
- Premier High School of Arkansas has identified locations for Premier High School of Russellville and Premier High School of Fayetteville.
III.6. Lisa Academy
The panel approved the Lisa Academy request to amend its charter to include a waiver of Arkansas Code 6-18-213(b) for all LISA Academy schools.
III.7. LISA Academy Data Review
LISA Academy presented data to the panel.
